Resource Availability Across Multiple RBSes

Hi all,

We're working on getting Project Server 2007 setup in our environment,
and are planning on running projects through it from multiple
organizations within our company. For example, we may have
Implementations projects running through it, IT projects running
through it, etc.

However, I was hoping to have separate PWA sites setup for each
organization in order to provide some separation between different
organizations' projects. Included in this would be allowing each
organization to have separate enterprise custom fields, separate
enterprise project templates available from within MS Project, a
separate RBS, etc.

The problem I'm having, and it may just be because we're pretty early
in figuring everything out, is that I don't see a way right now to
synchronize resources that are shared between multiple RBSes. To put
it another way, when my manager goes to check out my availability, he
should see the time I've been committed for for each organization who
has me listed in their RBS...maybe 10 hours from Implementations and
20 hours from IT.

I've been initially thinking that I'd just have to override one of the
existing eventhandlers, but am unsure which one.

Or am I looking at this the wrong way and it doesn't involve the RBS
at all, but the users list instead?

Thanks for any help you can provide!

Certainly federating across multiple instances is not possible out of the box.

I doudt this could be done programmatically either, but it's worth posting a
question to the project dev discussion group.
