Resource Availability by Month

Leslie W.

I have a MS Project file that I am using to manage a few long-term research
tasks. I do not need the level of detail in regards to managing individuals
on a day-to-day basis, only monthly. I can change the timescale of the
project to "Monthly" and view it that way.

My problem is that when I manage my tasks, it is possible for a resource to
still be overallocated on a day-to-day basis. I don't want that level of
detail. Is there any way I can change the project to level on a monthly
basis, rather than daily?

Thanks!

Hi Leslie,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

Tools/Level Resources... and in the dialog, Look for overallocations on a:
change to a Month-by-Month basis.

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at
this web address: http://project.mvps.org/faqs.htm

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :)
