Resource Availability calculation in 2007

Hi,
In PS 2003, the Resource Availability was calcultated with the Cube
calculation.
Is it the same thing in PS 2007?

Now under PWA - Server Settings - Additional Settings - Resource Capacity
Settings, default is 1 AM once a day.
