Resource Availability in Portfolio Analyzer

Very new to this application but very excited about it's potential -
particularly for Management Reporting. However, a problem that is driving me
nuts at the moment is that a bunch of resources that are defined as starting
in March 2006 are distorting utilisation graphs by showing up as available in
2005.

Any ideas please???

Availability is based on the resource calendars. If you want to remove
availability for a resource before a date certain, then you must update the
resource calendar to reflect that the user had no working time from that
date backwards to at least the date you're using as the beginning of your
availability calculations.

Thanks a bunch for your reply Gary - but WHY can't this application use the
detail setup in the Enterprise Resource Pool (start date/end date)?? I am
maintaining a very large schedule for a 4 year project, with the usual staff
ins and outs along the way. Now I have to setup individual calendars for
every new starter (and initially existing and ex-staff too). Arrggg!

Anyway, thanks again.. This forum is VERY useful!
