Resource Availability View in PWA--data doesn't make sense

After invoking the resource availability refresh process, I am now
looking at a particular resource's availability from the Resource
Center. This is what I see for most all if not all the resources.

This particular individual is scheduled or "booked" 88h in a particular
week. Low and behold if it also says this same person is ALSO
available for another 32h that week!

What gives? How is 32h available arrived at? Isn't this all based
on a 40 hour week? Is there something that I'm missing here?

You are confusing Availibility with Remaining Availability. Availability is
how much time a resource is able to work, regardless of how much work they
are already assigned to do. Remaining Availability is how much availability
they have left AFTER they are assigned to work. For this resource, in
theory the resource is available to work up to 32 hours in a week. They are
booked to work 88 hours, which means their Remaining Availability is 0
hours. Hope this helps.
