Dear all,
By assigning task to resouce the availability of resouce is not checked . in
other words, is it possible to find out whether resource is available in the
time that task is assigned to him/her (Vacation , sick or booked into another
project).
Regards,
Amirali

You have several options:

1. In the Assign Resources dialog of Microsoft Project Professional, select
the desired resource and click the Graphs button. The graph will show you
the resource's work and availability across all projects in the portfolio.

2. Apply the Resource Usage view in Microsoft Project Professional.
Right-click in the timephased grid (yellow/white timesheet) and select the
Remaining Availability details. Examine the resource's usage and
availability across all projects in the portfolio.

3. In the Resource Center in PWA, select the resource in question and then
click the View Availability button. You have the choice of four different
availability views from which you can ascertain the resource's current work
levels and availability.

Hope this helps.
