Resource cannot view assigned tasks.

I have created an enterprise project, assigned enterprise resources, set the
resources's authorization level via the pwa. However, when these resources
logon, they do not see their tasks assigned to them. What types of things
can I do to determine what's going wrong? Where are the log files on the
server?

It doesn't appear to be a permissions issue. Even when opening all
permissions for the enterprise resource, the tasks do not appear. When I
view the project itself on the pwa, the proper name appears assigned to the
task.

Thanks

Did you publish the project and the assignments in Project Server? It
might seem like a dumb question, but when you listed the steps, you
didn't say anything about publishing. You can see the project because
you are the owner. Please let us know. If that isn't the issue, we
can help your troubleshoot more.

Ya, I published it. In fact, for one of the enterprise resources, I allowed
them to view projects. They can click on the Projects tab in the pwa, see
the project itself, and see that a task is assigned to him. But yet it still
does not show up in the Tasks tab.

Thanks

FYI:
I am using MS Project Server 2003 on a Windows 2003 Server machine, and for
the client, am using MS Project 2002 Professional SP-1.

The resources were created initially via the Project client, and then saving
them as enterprise resources on the server. What's strange is that when the
user logs in, they can actually assign themself to the task which has their
name on it in the Project tab. Then, when the project manager accepts that
update, it creates a second copy of the same task. Its almost as if the
enterprise resource that i am using to assign a task to is different then the
one which logs on, even though it was created by the same project itself.

Is this the only project with issues? If it is, you might also try
republishing all assignments from the collaborate/publish/ menu. This will
force the server to re-run certain SQL commands and you may find a
difference.

Bonjour Derzay,

in MSP2003, the booking type of your ressources are committed or proposed,
by project.
With committed : resources can see their tasks in PWA-task view.
With proposed : resources cannot see their taks in PWA-task view.

I hope it will help you...

Oh that helped. I am pretty new to this, and I assumed that re-saving a
project back to the enterprise server was essentially re-publishing the
changes. Apparently that is not the case. Re-publishing solved this issue
-- thanks!

Actually, I am using MSP2002 (the server version is 2003). So I do not have
the proposed/committed option (to my knowledge). Thanks anyway for the
suggestion!
