Resource Cost1 PS07

I added Cost1 to the resource sheet in PS07 within the Ent Global
I now wanted to type in a cost amount for an internal cost. Say i want to
type in $100

However, when i check out the Resource into Project 2007, i cannot enter any
value into Cost1 or any of the Cost fields (Cost1-Cost10)

Am i missing something why i can't enter a cost value at the resource level
into resource fields Cost1-10?
I can enter data into the cost/hr fields such as Std Rate, Ovt and
Cost/Use...
I can enter other Resource Enterprise field data...

any insight would be appreciated

You need to use the custom enterprise resource Cost1 field for this purpose.
The Cost1 field you added is a local field, not an enterprise field. To
edit and use the enterprise resource Cost1, you must log into PWA with
administrator permissions and then click Server Settings - Enterprise Custom
Field Definition. Hope this helps.
