Resource Custom field

Hi all
I’m working on some customization for the project server 2007 , and I have
faced the following problem I have added a custom field to the resources
which is “Role†, what we need exactly that a resource may have 2 different
roles in 2 different projects ??? each time I save a project the changes
overwrite the old value in the other project ???!! please help .

Unfortunately, as you have found, the custom field for a resource applies to
the resource no matter which project they are assigned to.

You can't have a different value for a resource the way you are asking. You
could create two resources with the different role, or you could have a
secondary classification in a different custom field, but what you ask for is
not possible.
