Resource days not totaling up

I've added a new resource at 100% and have put work days towards it on the
Gantt view but Project isn't recoginizing it (showing $0 in the cost column
and 0 days in the Resource sheet view). All the other 19 resources are acting
normal, just not this resource. I've even added another resource to those
tasks to try to replace it with a new one but that one is acting the same
way. Any ideas?

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup

Have you actually assigned the resource to the task? Try splitting the
screen and examine the work, duration, and resource units data.

Are the tasks assigned to the resource in question perhaps milestones?
Milestones have zero duration, hence zero work and zero cost, by definition.
