Resource Disappears from Project

Has anyone ever experienced the follow?

One of our PMs opened up her project to find that a resource had
disappeared from her project. This resource was attached to quite a
number of tasks in the project. As well, the resource in question is
the Project Manager! She did not go in a remove her name on all those
tasks. The following day after she noticed this, she received an email
(we've installed the Work with Outlook feature) and it said that the
project manager had removed her from the following tasks (which was all
the tasks that she was on in the project). We looked at the Build Team
and she was still listed on the team, but with 0 hours.

Does anyone have any idea why this happened?

At the same time, we were dealing with spooler errors that she was
experiencing, which we pinpointed were because she had created local
resources on her project and we had changed the permissions so that
only the Administrator can add a resource to the resource pool (as we
don't have a formal resource manager, but have given the PMs part of
the permissions of the Resource Manager).

Any advice?

Thx!

Hi
Just a few things i would like to know
1. Did you assign the resource locally
2. Do you have your AD synchronized with the resource pool
3. Has that resource by any chance deleted or has become inactive in the
project server.

1. No the resource was not assigned locally
2. I am not sure what you are referring to when you say "AD"
3. There are two other administators who have access to delete
resources, but they have not been active in their roles, only myself.
And I know that I did not delete the resource.

Thx!

By AD i meant active directory.
It can happen that if you synchronized your resource pool to a new group in
AD the existing resources in the old become inactive
