Resource formula field problem

Heya,

I posted this originally last week, but no-one else seems to share my
problem that when I create a Custom Resource Formula Field, it is not
available in the list of available fields to add to views.

Custom Formula fields for projects and tasks are absolutely fine.

Today I created a new Project server site to see if it'd work on freshness,
but alas .. no joy ... same problem. I'm perplexed.

I just wanted confirmation that everyone else is able to add a Custom
Resource Formula Field to a resource view.

Thanks

Is this 2003 or 2007? Please describe the steps you performed to create the
formula and the formula itself and whether you are trying to add it to a
project pro or PWA view and whether it is a resource sheet view or resource
usage view?

Heya,

it's Project Server 2007 and I'm working in PWA

Steps:

1. Server Settings > Ent Custom field Def
2. New Custom Field
3. Name = "MyField", Entity = "Resource", Type = "Text"
4. Cust Att = "Formula"
5. Formula = "Sanj" (simple as ...)
6. Calc For Summ Rows = None, Calc for Assgn Rows = None, Vals to disp = Data
7. SAVE ... Proj Prof opens and validates the formula
8. Server Settings > Manage Views
9. Select view .. Resource Centre, All Resources
10. In the Table and Fields Available fields list, "MyField" is not
available. However, any non formula custom fields I've defined are available.

When I view resources in Proj Prof, I am able to insert "MyField" as a
column and the forumla works fine.

TIA,

Sanj
