Resource Group

Hi All

Please help me .My company has four departments and each department ha
separate resource manager. We have our office in different locations.
configured my RBS with the location details. Countries along wit
location Now my problem is my management says that resource manage
should only see the resource that they manage i.e., resource whic
belongs to their department. How can solve this problem Please pleas
please. Any help is highly appreciated. Each country has a separat
resource manager for each department

I think you should add another level to your RBS for each dept. under each
country. So now each resource manage in each country will only see there
dept.

You should create a RBS similar to the following:

-Country1
--- Dept A
--- Dept B
--- Dept C
--- Dept D
-Country2
--- Dept A
--- Dept B
--- Dept C
--- Dept D

You assign the resource manager to the appropriate RBS.

Then in Web Access, using the Manage Security in Admin,
You create a category and under the Resource section, you check the
'Resource can only see the resource that they manage' (or something
similar to this).

After this, you create a resource security group, assign the category
you previously created to this group, and assign all the resource
manager's to this group.
