Hello, I'm having a problem where, in our company, we are using Exchange
Server 2007. We have some users using Outlook 2007, and some using Outlook
2003.
We were having a problem with 2 users getting errors when trying to book a
resource for a meeting. It would tell them that they couldn't book the
resource since the meeting was recurring, but the meeting was not recurring.
Then, if I would click "OK", it would give me a pop-up message from the
Outlook tray icon saying "Unable to save free/busy information. You do not
have sufficient permission to perform this operation on this object. See the
folder contact or your system administrator."
The first odd thing about this is that is wasn't recurring, and the second
odd thing is that the resource is even set to allow recurring meetings. The
third thing is that everyone on our domain has Author privileges for the
calendars, so the permissions should be fine.
We fixed the problem on the 2007 machine by deleting the Outlook profile,
and adding it again so it was recreated. However, that has not worked on the
2003 machine. After I added the profile again, for a few times, when I would
try to book the resource, it would say the resource "is already booked for
the specified time." and it would say to use another time. The resource was
free at that time, though, and it would again give me the pop-up telling me
I'm unable to save free/busy info. Now it's back to telling me it is
recurring, so I'm back to square one it seems. We have XP SP2, and Office
2003 SP3.
Any help would be very appreciated!
