Resource Leveling Question

Hello everyone

What a nice place to learn and use new features for Project

I am using MS Project 2000, and I have this situation: I create a list of activities having all the same start date, but with various durations. I assign resources to each of them, and I level the activities. Somehow, for the busiest resource, the leveling won't extend towards the longest single activity, but several conflicts will be generated. Skipping them all will result in a 1200% + usage of this resource, all assignments being at the end of the longest activity

My question is: Is there a way to allow MS Project to level activities beyond the longest activity of the schedule in hand, without observing the above situation

Thanks in advance for your precious time answering this question

Hello Jack,
Have you cleared the check box : Level only with available slack ?
in the Tools / Level resources dialog.
If you clear this option, you allow Ms Project to postpone some tasks beyong
the actual finish date.
