Hello.

I bring you a case. I'm using Project Server 2007 in my company.
We have several projects ongoing and we need to know the resource usage at
any time.

Therefore, if two project managers try to use the same resource at the same
time, how can they confirm if there is a conflict without having to close the
project and opening again.

All of this is using the Microsoft Project connected to the project server.

In the future, please post your Project Server questions in the
microsoft.public.project.server newsgroup, as this newsgroup is dedicated to
the Microsoft Project desktop application only. To answer your question,
there is no way for either PM to know that the other is adding a resource to
the project team at that very moment. You have already surmised correctly
that you have to save, close, and reopen the project. Hope this helps.
