Resource name of external task

Hi all,

When I connect two tasks from different projects, and both tasks have
resources assigned to them, the task that is shown in the project it is
linked to (the one in gray) doesn't show the resource assigned to it. Does
anyone know why this happens? should project act this way?

Daniel,
Yes, Project is designed that way. The purpose of showing ghost
(external) links is to help the user visually interpret the link and the
linked task, not to provide complete information on the linked task. If
you want to see all the resource assignments, I suggest you build a
master file (Insert/Projects). The master file will show all the cross
project links graphically and all assignments. If you only want to see
the externally linked task information, use a filter that looks for the
path (normally "C:\") in the Predecessor/Successor fields.
