Resource not seeing tasks in Project Web Access

I have a user that is not seeing tasks assigned to him in Project Web Access.
The manager publishes a project to the server and assigns 5 tasks to
resource A. Resource A goes into PWA and does not see and taks and does not
receive any email notification. Resource B has 5 tasks assigned to him and
does see his taks and receives e-mail notification.

I create a new Test project file and assign Resource A and B 5 tasks. Both
resource A and B see all taks and get email notifications.

I remove the initial project and republish it again. Still Resource A does
not get any notifications or tasks assigned to him in PWA. I reopen the
project and confirm that Resource A is assigned to 5 tasks but they do not
appear in PWA.

Any suggestions?

Is this a brand new project? If not, does the resource in question have
tasks assigned to him that he has already marked time against?

Also, try deleting that resource from the project, if he doesn't already
have time marked against tasks, then re-adding the resource. Then add the
resource to the necessary tasks and re-publish.

Try this:

1. Open the troublesome project
2. Click View - Resource Sheet
3. Double-click the name of the resource who can't see his tasks in PWA
4. Select the General page

Is the Booking value set to Proposed, by chance? If so, change it to
Committed and then click OK. Click Collaborate - Publish - All Information
and the team member should now get the e-mail and should see his tasks in
PWA. Let us know if this helps.

Hi Guys, this was on a 2 week old project file. I deleted the file and
republsihed it without success.

I then removed the resource from all the tasks, saved the project file, re
added the user back to the tasks and published all information. The user is
now seeing the tasks. Problem resolved but very curious how this happened.

On another resource, he had 20 tasks assigned to him but could only see 19
tasks. These was one Sub task that was not appearing for the resource. I
removed the user from that task, re-added him back and then re-published.
The resource is now able to see all 20 tasks. Again Problem resolved but very
curious how this happened.

Thanks again for your help guys.
