Resource Overallocation

I have Project 2002. I'm showing an overallocation of resources but when I
check the responsible files one is current but the other does not appear to
exist - likely it was deleted with tasks not completed. Is there any way to
correct this?

Hello Mark,

Assuming you are not using Project Server, you may be able to remove
the assignment. (If you are using Project Server, please re-post
your question to the Project Server Newsgroup). Open the resource
pool file with the second option (Read-write). Go to Tools >
Resource Sharing (the menu command might be slightly different) >
Share Resources. This should bring a list of all the files the
resource pool think it is supplying resources to. Select the file
that is missing and choose "Break Link". Save the pool.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

Dave - thanks for taking the time, it's a stand alone version with a resource
pool. JulieS gave me the right answer.

Great Mark. Glad you know you were able to delete the troublesome
project.
