Resource Overloading

Hi

I am having a problem of resource assignment. I have an enterprize
resource and he was assigned to some old projects in past. When i
assign this resource to new project it is showing this resource as RED.
I have tried to Resource Avaiability View in Resource tab. and also
analyzed resource assignments and portfolio analyzer. The resource is
available but still look Overloaded. If an of you have any tips please
do let me know.

The resource name is formatted in red if the resource is overallocated in
any project. Is this resource still assigned to those old projects? If so,
is he overallocated in any of them? Let us know.

Thanks for the response. The resource was assigned to two project in
2004 and January 2005 now i when i assigned that resource to new
project starting from August 17 using build team from enterprize. The
resource was overallocated in 2004 project infect i got answer to my
question but is this right.

The resource was overallocated in past. He was not allocated from past
6 months then why it still shows the resource as overallocated but in
reality he is not overallocated. i know the problem will be solved if
i fix the resource assignment for past project but sure this is not the
right thing to do.

An overallocation is an overalloaction no matter where or when it occurs.
There's not event horizon that you can set to have Project "forget about an
overallocation."

For making an event horizon i ask the resource managers to fix the
overallocation first...
