Team Builder Lite is a feature that allows authorized users in Project Web Access to propose resource assignments in projects. Assigning a resource as a proposed resource allows organizations to track potential resource assignments for projects that are still in the proposal phase. Since a proposed resource is in a reserved state, it can be used to identify a resource that is not actually committed to working on the project. I am not sure what you want it to do is what it was designed to do. Actually the opposite, you propose a resource and it does not affect availability, only when you book the resource as committed does it affect availability unless you select to include proposed bookings when determining availability and total assigned work to indicate whether proposed assignments should be considered when filtering for availability and work using Build Team. This option determines whether a resource will be considered for substitution on a specific assignment by the Substitution Wizard. In Project Professional, project managers can use proposed resources and assign them to tasks in the same way as any other resource would be assigned to a task. When a proposed resource is assigned in Project Professional, the assignment is exactly the same as another resource assignment. Under Build Team, select resources in the Filtered Enterprise Resources and Resources in the project list boxes. Resources shown in the Resources in the project list box are either Committed or Proposed. To change the resource’s booking type, click the Change Booking Type button. The key here is I don't think it affects Resource Center and Resource Availability Views, it only affects seeing Resource Availability within Build Team. Anybody correct please, I did not use this much at all in 2003. -- Sean Hanson http://www.randsmanagement.com Mass Resource Tool for 2007 Project Server 2007 Archive Tool 2007 ULS Log Reporting
