Resource pool & links to workplans

Hi, I have a workplan that is linking twice to our
resource pool. I have broken the link in both the
resource pool and the workplan, saved and tried to
recreate the link...but it still is duplicating the link
and doubling all of the tasks in the resource pool...
Any ideas?

Nicci,
You mention "doubling all of the tasks in the resource pool". Normally,
there should not be any tasks in the resource pool. The resource pool is
best set up as a "taskless" file containing resources only.

When you broke the link and saved, did you save both the pool file and
the sharer file. The link leaves a "marker" in both files. If both files
are not saved immediately after breaking the link, a link fragment will
remain.

The only tasks that appear in the resource pool are in the
Resource Usage view. You are right, there are no
tasks "in" the resourse pool.

What is happening is that since the workplan is somehow
attached twice, it is doubling the work assigned to each
resource.

I did save the both the workplan and the resource pool
after breaking the links...

Still working on an fix.
