Resource Pools and Leveling

Hello,

I am setting up several projects that use a shared resource pool. I have
noticed that when using Resource leveling from one project, this can affect
the schedule for other projects that use the same resource pool (I believe
this is only the case if leveling has not been done already on these other
projects, but I am not completely sure).

How can I be sure when adding a new project to the mix, that I will not be
affecting the schedule of my other projects?

Does Project Server offer any easier ways of dealing with this type of issue
for multiple projects and shared resources?

The leveling feature always works this way, except when the other projects
sharing the resource are closed
