Resource reporting

my boss wants a report of resources that looks similar to the gantt chart, he
wants the persons name where the task name is and it to show in bar form what
task they are doing between what dates. Each task needs to have its own bar
with seperate start and end dates.

I have been entering this manuely in a modified gantt chart, however i now
need to automate it because i am no longer the only one entering information.
Is there a way that i can get the original project file to print out
something that looks like this

Resource Name 1
Task 1 Start Finish date bar
Task 2 Start Finish date bar
Resource Name 2
Task 2 Start Finish date bar
Task 3 Start Finish date bar

any help would be great

jmb,
Boy, this sounds a whole lot like something I did for a client last year
- except their source is a database, not a schedule plan. It is a very
unusual use of Project because the application is basically being used
as a graphics program, not as a scheduling application.

To answer your question, no and yes. You cannot get this output from the
original project file but you can create a completely separate Project
file from the basic schedule file to get the desired output. And yes,
this could be automated with VBA.
