Resource Scheduling and Private Meetings

Canceled Private meetings, the Private check box was selected, remain on a
resource's calendar and users cannot read that the meetings have been
canceled. Free/Busy displays correctly, but if a user opens the resource's
calendar before scheduling the meeting they will see the Private meeting and
not know it was canceled. This is causing much confusion for my users.

Any info or work arounds would help.
