Resource sheet base calendar is greyed out

I have assigned a resource calendar for each of my resources, and until I
update the project to the server it recognizes the specifics of each
resources calendar. When I upload it tells me that there is a resource
already in my server pool and asks me to rename or replace. When I replace
and then come back to my resource sheet, the base calendar is standard and it
will not let me replace. If I go the user's calendar and change working time
it drops down the resouce calendar, but when I go back to the resource sheet
the calendar is not changed and is again greyed out.

Are you setting the resource's calendar in the Enterprise Resource Pool or
in a project? If in a project, you cannot do so. Your Project Server
administrator must perform this operation for each resource in the
Enterprise Resource Pool. Hope this helps.
