Resource shown as Checked out but not showing in User List.

An admin 'deleted' a resource. This resource apeared to be checked out to
the system. The user was 'deleted' but the Check In Resources list still
shows the resource as checked out. The user was removed because they were
manualy added vs. from Active Directory. The admin was trying to rectify
this and is now stuck.

This is on a Project Server 2007 SP1 Environment.
