Resource Substitution Wizard

Hi ... We are creating a sample project from an enterprise templates. As to
my knowledge, all the custom fields have been defined properly and have been
set for all generic and enterprise resources.

The problem occurs when I run the Resource Substitution Wizard. In the
Resource Substitution wizard, in the Choose Resources page, I chose the
option 'Specified Below' and added the enterprise resources who will
substitute the generic resources.

After I run the wizard, I am ale to see proper results in the Review Results
page. The Assigned Resources match the Requested Resources.

After i update the project and switch to Enterprise Gantt view, I see that
only a few tasks have been updated with enterprise resources.

For example, if Rochelle is a Business Advisor, only certain tasks assigned
to Business Advisor have been replaced with Rochelle. Many other tasks
assigned to the Business Advisor have not been substituted with Rochelle.

We have tried our level best to resolve this but to no avail. Can anyone
suggest a resolution for this???

Adding to my earlier query, I have another query now.

While analysing the project again, I discovered that some of the resources
needing substitution were over-allocated with tasks. 2 of these resources
were assigned 600 or 800 hours. Other resources for which proper substitution
did not take place had been allocated tasks for more than 100 hours ..
The project start date is 06/02/2008 and finish date is 11/20/2008.

Has this enormous work time has anything to do with improper substitution?
Please clarify.
