Resource Unit changes

I'm using Project Server 2003. When we allocate a resource unit percentage -
it looks like the % displayed ends up being the maximum allocation based on
actuals if higher than what was originally allocated.

A) How exactly is this new % allocation calculated?

B) Does the new % allocation ever affect the duration?

Hi,

The % allocation you see is called peak units. All remaining should be
assigned at the original units

Hi,
Calculations only happen oin Project Professional so I suppose that's what
you refer to.
1. As you have seen the maximum at any time
2. Not as lo,ng as the task has never been 100% complete; Project goes on
calculating based on the original (fortunately!) However when you make the
task 100% complete, the afterwards add remaining work, this remaining work
will be planned with the "new" units.
A nuisance, I know, but I cna't help.
