We are running Project Server 2007 & SQL Server 2005.
I have a problem when looking at the Work totals in the Resource Usage view
in Project Professional (having checked on "Load Summary Resource
Assignments" when opening Proj Prof), that I find that the work value listed
on the "Other Projects" row does not agree with the addition of the work
values for the other projects that are expanded under this row. For
instance, one resource has 10 projects listed under "Other Projects", but
only 2 of them have work on the 1st July. Proj A has 0d and Proj B has 0.1d
- however, the value on the "Other Projects" parent row has 0.23d ? There
are numerous other examples as well for the same resource (eg. 0.53 + 0.1
does not equal 0.23), but I have checked a couple of other resources (in
different plans) and they appear to add up.
Is there an explanation for this behaviour?
One possible clue - this is the project that had problems with checkin using
VPN (refer to VPN / Checkin problem post), and after force checking it in, I
imported an updated plan over the top of the existing project.
