Resource Usage Rollup

In the 2007 resource usage view I am dealing with a quandry. Why would a
summary hours not equal all the projects/tasks hour under it? I have the
"Load Summary Resoure" option checked. Summary has 900 hours for 1 week
whereas the included projects/tasks only show 250. Hopefully a simple answer.

In the future, please post your Project Server questions in the
microsoft.public.project.server newsgroup, as this newsgroup is dedicated to
the Microsoft Project desktop application only. To answer your question, I
think you should forget about attempting to use the "Other projects and
commitments" section in the Resource Usage view. The system simply does not
display the correct information about other projects unless you actually
open those projects (this is a known issue, but as yet unresolved). This
renders the "Other projects and commitments" information all but useless,
which is why I recommend that your PMs deselect the "Load summary resource
assignments" option when connecting to Project Server from Project
Professional 2007. Hope this helps.

Thank you for the answer and the guidelines on which board to post against.
I opened all schedules and the rollup hours was adjusted to the correct
amount. Hopefully this can be resolved in future Project releases.
