Resource Usage shows Task Notes

Hi Folks

I like using the Resource Usage view in Project 2002. It is person-centric
and the team members can see what they're working on each day.

However I use the Task Notes field to describe each task in more detail. I'd
like my colleagues to not only see the task they're doing, but also a brief
description of what's involved

How can I get the Task Notes field to show up in this view? I have only
managed to get the Resource-Notes field to show up, and this isn't what I
want.

Any help would be appreciated.

Barry,
You're right that the task Notes and resource Notes fields are
independent. Go to our MVP website at,
http://www.mvps.org/project/faqs.htm, and take a look at FAQs 51 and 37.
The first will give a little background and the second will give a
sample macro that can be modified to translate the Notes field.

Be advised though that if you have more than 255 characters or any line
feeds in your notes text, it will be truncated when displayed as a
column in a view.
