Have you looked at the "Analyse Timescaled Data in Excel" function? On
the "Analysis" toolbar.

Hope this is useful to you. Let us know.

Hi Rob,

Yes but this is not timephased and does not solve the problem.
More ideas?

You actually have to do two seperate copy and paste
functions. In other words, first open the left pannel to
the level of detail you want. Copy the data into excel.
Then, copy the right panel side and make sure you align it
with the what you already pasted in Excel. I do this all
the time and it works.

(You can change it to days or weeks or what ever you
want).

Hi Joe,

Thanks for your idea but this will not solve the problem, as several persons
not very familiar with Project should postcalculate with this values in
Excel. So this idea will not really help us here.
I'm afraid there is no solution. Or???

Thanks Cheryl for your quick answer.
The problem with the Analyzer is that it only gives me the work in a total
and not resource by resource.
I need the info from resource usage and/or task usage in Excel.

Hi Gerhard,
The Analyze TimePhased data allows you to pull over the information by
resource and month. Maybe I don't understand exactly what you are wanting
to do?

Gerhard,
That's a simple fix. Simply run the "analyze ..." add-in from either the
Resource Usage (resource by resource) or Task Usage (task by task) views.

If neither of the above gives you exactly what you want, a custom VBA
macro can be written to export any data needed to Excel and format the
data into whatever form is desired. I have used this process countless
times.
