Resource-Value "Work"

Hi all together,

I copy a WORK-value out of the left sides' Resource-Area which is e.g.
2,33 [hours]. As soon as I paste this one into a new (Excel-) Cell the
comma disappears so that 2,33 [hours] changes to 233 [hours]. Anybody
an idea why it doesn't work correct?

Kind Regards,

Both programs should refer to the control panel to determine what character
you use for the decimal point (. or ,). Clearly in this copy paste process
Excel is not seeing your comma as a decimal placeholder. I would try
experimenting with different settings in regional settings in control panel
and see what happens.

It sounds logical.

Is there a possibility to get this setting (, or .) from Project and
set it in Excel (to the value returned before) on the fly?

I think you would need an API call to retrieve the . or , setting. Rather I
would look at a VBA program to export your data. Or, you could create a
formula in a number field in project that is the duration*100 so you don't
have any decimal places. You would then need to divide by 100 in Excel to
get the correct result.
