Resources changing RBS issue.

Hello,

Here is the situation.

For each resource we specify the RBS to describe the department the resource
is working for.

When the resource changes department, all effort are tranfered to the new
department, which causes budget issues between department.

Resources are created using their windows account.

How can I proceed with minimal impact, and without creating an new windows
account.?

Using Project server 2003.

I'm not sure exactly what you are trying to achieve here. Perhaps you can
expand a little on what the problem is exactly.

Hi Nde,

I assume that you get your data for your Budget from the Portfolio Analyser.
If you change the RBS of an existing user, all historcal data for this
Resource will move as well. This has technical reasons and unfortunalty there
is no way around this.

I think your best bet is to save a data state at the time of transfer.
