Resources Set Up/$ rates

I'm new to Project Server and MS Projects. I'm picking up where someone else
left off 6 months ago. My org is using this tool for resource tracking and
allocation...we're growing and it's getting a little out of control. Using
Project 2007 and Project Web Access (PWA). Anyway, I've set up my calendar
in PWA and now I am working on the resources in PWA. How do I get them into
Project 2007...I assume I have to use the "build team from enterprise"
selection udner tools. This is were I can put rates in too, correct? I'm
thinking I do not put rates in PWA. Also, is there anyway to delete
resources from the PWA...I have a few duplicate entries. I see you can make
someone inactive, but I would rather delete it.
I do have the book Project Server Unleashed 2007.
My next task is to import a few projects from other sources and make a
Master Project with subprojects...that will be for another question next week.

Thanks...hopefully, they will send me to training, but for now I'm on my own.

Thanks,
Scott

Assuming that you are the Project Server administrator, you can create
resources by opening the Enterprise Resource Pool for editing (click Tools -
Enterprise Options - Open Enterprise Resource Pool). Add the resources you
need and be sure to specify a Windows user account for each human resource.
That is also where you can assign a Standard Rate and Overtime Rate as
needed for each resource.

You can delete duplicate resources by logging into PWA with administrator
permissions and then clicking Server Settings - Delete Enterprise Objects.
Select the Resources and Users option, select the option checkbox for each
resource you want to delete, and then click the Delete button.

To import the existing project into Project Server, you need to use the
Import Project Wizard in Project Professional 2007 (Tools - Enterprise
Options - Import Project to Enterprise).

If you need training on Project Server 2007, our company offers face to face
classes at our training center in New York City, and we also simulcast the
face to face classes over the Web. We offer classes every month for both
Project Server administrators and for project managers. Refer to the
following for the training schedule:

Hope this helps.
