Ok, I created a status report and assigned my team members to fill it out
weekly. My problem is when I click on the box to notify my resources 1 day
before there status reports are due they never get an email. If I have them
click on the notify me when my status reports are due it works fine. So I
know email is working.

I think what the problem is, that I don't have any resources assigned to me.
So do I first have to put in all the projects everyone is working on assign
me as the project manager?

Brett:

Two things come to mind. (1) Make sure that their e-mail
addresses are entered correctly and (2) Unless they tell
PWA to notify them when their status reports are due,
they won't receive an e-mail notification. They will
need to turn this on themselves. Give this a test to
make sure.otherwise there could be other issues.
