Let's say a task is scheduled for completion in 30 days,
but it will only take Bob 5 days (an hour here, 2 hours
there) at random over the 30 day period that he has to
complete the task....how do I do enter that, please?

Hi Lee,

Welcome to the Microsoft Project newsgroup

The simplest way is to make the task Fixed (Advanced tab of the Task
Information dialog), then in the Resource Usage view, enter the hours per
day to meet you needs.
