Response Pending - MSPro 2007

Hi,

I'm trying to test the 'Response Pending' field in MS Pro 2007, but it is
always = 'No'.

I can't seem to get it to calcuate to 'Yes'. I tried 'publishing', and
'Request Progress Information...', but nothing seems to affect it. Could it
be that it is a bug in SP1?

There are three categories of Response Pending,

Response Pending (task field)
Response Pending (resource field)
Response Pending (assignment field)

Response Pending field for task and resource are calculated fields while
Response Pending field for assignment is calculated or entered. Please
specify which category of Response Pending field you are using. It would be
better if you could add the whole scenario.

I'm interested in the Response Pending (assignment field).

The scenario is as follows. I assign enterprise resources, and publish the
assignments. The Response Pending (assignment field) remains set to 'No'. I
request a 'Update Project Progress'; the Response Pending (assignment field)
still remains set to 'No'.

What I would like to know is if this field is calculated (or entered), then
how do I get it to calculate to 'Yes'.

You mentioned you are testing this field in Project Pro 2007. My dear
Response Pending (assignment field) is updated when you assign a team member
to a task and send an update with Project Server, Project Pro enters Yes in
the Response Pending field. As soon as you receive a response to this
message, the Yes changes to No.

In standalone Project Pro, this won't work the way you are expecting. I
suppose you must clear now about Response Pending field usage.

I am not in standalone (Standard); I'm using Professional with Project
Server 2007.

The functionality as you describe it is what I expect, but it does "not"
work on my side. The response pending assignment field never changes. Have
you tested it recently? Can you confirm that it works for you?
