OK, I have just about had it with Word (2000)! Here's my problem. I
have a style I created for a numbered list which for the purposes of
this post we'll call style "A". So I type my list and I apply style
"A" to the list. Instead of numbering the list 1,2,3... it numbers is
6,7,8.... No problem, I go to Format>Bullets and Numbering>Restart
Numbering. Well, stupid application renumbers the list and applies
style "B" which is not only incorrect, but does not even exist in my
template. Okay, so I figure I delete style "B" from my style list and
I'll be okay. Try it again same result. Make a long story short, I go
through every thing I can think of including reattaching the original
template and deleting everything in that entire paragraph and starting
over from scratch, still no dice. I'm about to break my computer in
frustration which means I'll lose my job and then I'll be out there
competing with all the other unemployed tech writers and it'll be bad
for everyone concerned, so it's in everybody's best interest that
someone help me
