Restart numbering roman numerals each time

Hi,

I've got a rather large document that contains various different styles.
One such style contains roman numerals. As this style is used in various
locations within the document, how can i set up the "style" so the numbering
restarts each time it is applied rather than continuing from the previous
list without manually changing the settings.
Thank you
Troy

There is no way to do this. Unfortunately. (Well, you could use Word 6 or 95,
but that's not realistic :))

The alternate method, as worked out by Margaret Aldis, would be to link the
numbering to two styles: a "dummy" style for the first level, and your "real
numbering" for the second. The first level can be formatted without a number;
the second level should be set to start renumbering after a first level comes
between paragraphs of the second level.

If you tend to use an introductory paragraph before the numbering starts, use
the "dummy" style for this. Otherwise, format it very small, so that it
basically won't show up when you print, and leave the paragraph empty.

Word's Restart Numbering command is too buggy to use, even if your numbering is
carefully set up per Shauna Kelly's instructions?
