Restict access in Office

I work for a school district, in which students are using
the computers. We use Office XP Pro. I use group policy to
restrict viewing the C drive, but when in Office you are
able to see and save the C drive. How can I restrict them
viewing the C drive.
I have already seen this with Office 2000, and Microsoft's
recommendation is to update to the latest service pack,
but what about Office XP.
