restore 2003 messages running outlook 2002

My boss was running Outlook 2003 on her laptop. Hard drive went bad and had
to be replaced. Her files were recovered. Outlook 2002 was then installed.
We can't open her old messages (pst file), get error saying something about
the wrong version. (naturally) Is there a way to access the messages that
were on her machine while she was running outlook 2003 without installing
outlook 2003?

Any help will be appreciated.

No, an OL2003 format pst can only be opened in OL2003
You would have to open in OL2003, create a new earlier version pst then copy
mail to this pst in order to use on earlier version

Okay, I was thinking I couldn't do it in 2002. Would email messages be in
outlook.pst or archive.pst? Both of those files are available.

The mail would be in outlook.pst, whilst depending on Archive rules the rest
would be in archive.pst

Okay, I have the outlook.pst from her computer, copied it to a CD and put it
on my computer desktop. I'm running 2003 here and hope I can open her pst
file. I renamed it to outlookmjm.pst so that when I put it where my pst
files are it won't over right mine. But how do I get outlook to see the
file? I can't find where I can tell it to look at that file.
