restore farm from wss 3.0 in which state

i took backup from wss 3.0 central administration and after i install
sqlserver 2005 and wss 3.0 try to restore all data with the help of wss
central administration.
without any web application and without make pwa site .
may i restore at this state. ? or i should restore at the complete fresh epm
2007 system where pwa is also exist.

pls reply me soon.

Hey,

You mean you took the complete envirnoment(EPM) backup using the WSS Central
Admin site. If yes
then you can restore the backup just after running the Sharepoint product
and technology wizards. when CA site is created then you go over their and
restore your backup. Their is no need of creation of SSP/Web App/PWA.

If you have project server backup then their will be project server on the
system to restore it.
