Restore from a floppy

In trying to restore to word 2002, windows xp, my files
from word 2000, windows 98, i am seeing a message that
states "unrecognized data". The file extenstion on my back
disks is not the one listed on the menu, but is listed if
I click all files. The extenstion is .qic. How can I
restore these files to my new system

The problem here is that .qic files were creaed by the Backup utility in
Windows 95 and 98; this format is not supported by Windows 2000/XP. See
