Restore of PWA on another server & queue not working

Howdy


We managed to backup a server farm using stsadm and then restore just
the the PWA onto another server of the same name. This was a DR test
we felt we needed to do.

However, while we can open all the restored projects on clients PCs in
MS Project 2007, when I try to check in a project or do anything on
the DR server, the queue in PWA seems to have stopped working. This of
course stops most functionality. I dont fully understand the guts of
PWA, but wonder if its because the GUID of the live server is
different to that of the DR server?

Does anyone have any ideas please?

Happy to share our PWA recovery process if anyone wants it.

Basic troubleshooting but have you restarted the queues? I think the GUID is
a red herring. Worth checking the ULS logs for further info.

Make sure you have previsouly logged onto the server with the User account
which the Queue runs under, and that it has Internet access the first time
you start it.

I am trying to restore a Project server from WSS backup - But each time when
i restore it says "Provisioning 'PWA': Failed to grant login to '(null)' on
primary server" error. If you give your restore process, it will be very much
helpful to me.
