The user profile for a domain account could not be loaded because of a bad
block on the hard drive. The file ntuser.dat was on this block. To fix
this, I created a new account, copied all files except ntuser.dat, ntuser.ini
and ntuser.dat.log as described in KB81151 article.
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=811151 The user logged onto
the new account, the profile was created, desktop files/folders, etc. were
restored. Upon starting Outlook, Windows Installer
prompted for the CD and went through the process of configuring a new email
account setup. This is not what I wanted to happen. I would like to restore
the user's accounts, folders, views, contacts, calendar and any other
customization. How can I restore all Outlook settings? Thank you.
