Restore Site Collections

Nicole

Hello,
I used the Technet Article “Backup and restore site collections†to back up
and restore PWA. When I want to restore it, I use the sentence:
“stsadm -o restore -url http://epmfr:50001/pwa -directory
\\epmfr\Sauvegarde_CollSites\ -restoremethod overwriteâ€
But there was a problem with the backup shared folder. The system couldn’t
use this folder because of inexistence or rights. So I gave the rights for
all people to read and write in this folder. And the mistake was the same.
Could you give me, please, a solution to back up and restore PWA site
Collection?
Thank you for your help
Congratulations

Nicole ,

I have had a similar problem previously , did you check the SHARE or
security Permissions? Give the Account used to Run the Project Server
Full controll under your Share permissions. Otherwise try creating a
mapped drive to the source and then use stsadm -o restore -url
http://epmfr:50001/pwa -directory
g:\Sauvegarde_CollSites\ -restoremethod overwrite

Hope it helps, please give feedback once you are done

Andre,
I checked the share and the security permissions on my folder. I created a
mapped drive and used the correct sentence. But I have the same error !
The files I have backed up previously couldn’t be found. It asked me to
control if the folder’s name is correct and if there is a file with the back
up in it.
So I have no solution of my problem at the moment.
Thank you for your help
Congratulations
