All,
Just got finished the final steps (or at least I thought were the final
steps) in restoring a Project Server 2003 to a physically new server.
Everything looks great in PWA and Project Pro...except for the WSS portion.
There are no WSS sites associated with my projects? When I look under
"Manage Sharepoint sites", there are no sites under site address column with
the exception of the Public Documents.
Any idea of how I can easily "RE-associate" the sites on the new server with
the existing projects. BTW - The restored WSS sites work fine on the new
server...but they have simply lost the association with the projects?
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
NOTE: Anyone who reads this message who has a production MS Project 2003
Server and an MSDN subscription, please take my advice: Aquire a PC with a
decent amount of disk space, a perform a test restore of your MS Project 2K3
Server enviornment...documenting every step....and make sure it is included
in your organizations Disaster Recovery Plan. Best of all....you can use the
restored server for testing.
