I'm working on a shared document that several people have access to. In this document, a more senior colleague left a series of comments that we need to address. Our usual process is to accept the changes made by the senior staff member, address the comments, and either 'Resolve' them or reply with an explanation of the changes made. We don't delete comments until the revised document has been reviewed.
Unfortunately, a new team member has deleted the comments after addressing each one and saved the document. While I can revert to an earlier version of the document to view the comments, I'm wondering if it's possible to copy these comments and transfer them to the latest version while still attributing them to the original author.
Currently, the only solution I can think of is to merge my colleague's changes back into the older version of the document, but this will be time-consuming.
